Two new Envirotech recruits have the experience to work in Tandem

Envirotech has welcomed two experienced Facilities Managers to the team as the building services, climate control and facilities management company continues to expand.

Majid Mirza and James Armstrong have recently joined the Birmingham-headquartered company as part of the team managing facilities on the Tandem Property Asset Management portfolio.

Majid has over twenty years’ experience within the London facilities sector, most recently in senior facilities manager roles with the UK government in the UK Debt Management Office (DMO) and Department for International Development. In these roles it was his responsibility to ensure that the DMO Accommodation Project continued throughout the lockdown period and the successful delivery of a wide range of hard and soft facilities services at DFID Whitehall, Foreign Cabinet Office (FCO) and No.10 Downing Street.

A member of The Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM), he also has experience of delivering facilities services within the managed services, legal and financial sectors.

James has more than 18 years’ experience in building maintenance, including as a technical facilities manager within sectors including energy and transport, through which he has developed an in-depth knowledge of maintenance, troubleshooting and repair procedures in all areas of facility and mechanical systems for both commercial and residential buildings across multi-site locations.

James Armstrong said: “Since joining, I have been made to feel so welcome and appreciated by everyone at both Envirotech and Tandem, which was really important for me personally.

“I already feel very much part of the team and this was ingrained right from even before I was appointed, with both the senior management of Envirotech and Tandem being heavily involved in the interview process. I thought this was a fantastic idea, meaning we all had a clear idea in advance of each other’s expectations and it really helped in me to hit the ground running once I started.”

Pinder Hujan, Managing Director Envirotech FM, said: “As Envirotech FM continues to grow we are pleased to welcome our two latest additions to the team, who bring with them a wealth of experience and know-how to complement our existing ‘Grey Hair Intellectual Property’ and I am confident that they will prove to be invaluable assets within our Tandem portfolio.”
